Tank container fleet
Nijman/Zeetank operates a large fleet of stainless steel tank containers, with one to three compartments, with a compartment size varying from 5,600 to 35,000 litres. The majority of the containers are fitted with baffles. The baffles ensure maximum flexibility when transporting products with a high or low specific weight.
Safety is essential. That is why more than seventy percent of these tank containers are ground operated units. This increases on-site safety at customers, because working at height is avoided. All tanks can be heated by steam or electricity. Our advanced Transport Management System enables constant contact to be maintained with drivers and suppliers, and customers can be informed about the status of their consignment.

Tank maintenance
Maintenance of the equipment is mainly performed in our own fully specialised workplace. The maintenance includes preventative checks and vacuum tests which are performed on the equipment at regular intervals. The maintenance and repairs result in tank containers with the highest standard of maintenance.

Storage in tank containers
Nijman/Zeetank also has facilities for temporary storage of products in tank containers. The tanks can be stored at customers’ premises, or at our specialised container storage area at the Spijkenisse site. The logistics solution is always tailored to the client’s specific situation.
